BC3 A cappella is now entering its 11th year of performing and was started by members of the Wisconsin Singers out of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After years of rehearsal and musical refinement, they have traveled all over the country to entertain audiences of all ages. After a decade on the stage, BC3 A cappella is moving a cappella music into the new millennium and redefining the art form as its own. With an unbelievable mix of styles that will touch any audience member's musical tastes, they are creating a unique sound that will amaze you with a new twist on the music that you have come to love. Combine that with their uncanny ability to capture their audiences with a comedic and entertaining style that is unmatched, and you have something that is truly remarkable! Chris Novotny - Chris is the remaining founding member of BC3. He performed extensively in high school and college and gained most of his performance training as a member and company manager of the Wisconsin Singers out of the University of Wisconsin. He has a degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics, but has worked extensively with middle and high school students in the art of American Popular Music.
Brandon Durbin - Brandon is an alumnus of Mount Zion High School in Mount Zion Illinois. After graduating he moved on to a performing career working at Country Tonight, Red, Hot & Blue, and the Rock n' Road 50's Show, in Branson, MO. Brandon also performed on cruise lines and at theme parks across the country before joining BC3.
Brian Skinner - Brian is a UW alumnus with a degree in Psychology and Communicative Disorders. After performing with the UW Marching Band, the Wisconsin Singers, and serving as Bucky Badger, Brian performed at Six Flags Great America. Brian then went on to sing and dance in a 50's show in Branson, MO. Brian is pleased to be back in Madison, singing bass and vocal percussion for BC3.
David Stills - David is the most recent addition to BC3. David is a graduate of Ithaca, NY where he was the president and singer of Ithacapella, a male collegiate a cappella group. Originally from Rochester, NY, David has performed in many musicals and plays.
BC3 is far more than just a performing group. Although we love to be on stage and are fortunate to make our livings creating music, we highly value education and the love of the arts. We often do performance and clinics to raise money for struggling music groups, get men to sing in middle and high school, and raise community awareness of both a cappella music and the arts in general. We hope to continue this campaign for years to come.
