Marcy Heim is the lead singer with "Marcy and the Highlights" a local dance band. The group has performed before Badger games at the Badger Blast and the Chile Cook-off for the past 10 years. She has performed with sing/dance groups and with choirs in high school and college including the "Kids from Wisconsin" and the Women's Choir of UW-Madison. After graduating from UW-Madison in Animal Science and Biochemistry, she joined the local rock band, Nite Fire. She formed Marcy and the Highlights and secured top honors several times in the Q106 Battle of the Bands. The Highlights have opened for many national acts including Reba McIntire, George Jones, John Michael Montgomery and Mary Chapin Carpenter. Her original song, "Maybe Together Was Better" earned honorable mention in the Nashville Music City Song Festival. Marcy got a strong dose of rhythm and blues as singer with Clyde Stubblefield and the Motown Players for more than seven years. Most recently, Marcy has ventured into musical theater performing a lead role as the Sour Kangaroo in "Seussical the Musical" with Middleton Players Theatre and as "Mrs. Fezziwig" in CTM¿s Madison Family Theatre's "A Christmas Carol." She and her husband, Ken, also host the Sunday Dance Party, a dance club featuring live music and dance instructions every Sunday night. She is a major fan of the UW Varsity Band and is thrilled to share the stage with the Best Band in the Land!
