Tangled Up in Blue

Tangled Up in Blue

Founded in the spring of 1999, Tangled Up In Blue has become UW-Madison's premiere women's a cappella ensemble. Every year, sixteen to eighteen enthusiastic female vocalists work together to create music that is truly and uniquely their own. For nearly six years, Tangled Up In Blue has performed at Madison-area benefit concerts, high school assemblies, numerous holiday parties as well as for an assortment of campus organizations. The past two years have even brought about four sold-out concerts at the 1800-seat Orpheum Theater in downtown Madison in collaboration with their brother a cappella group, the Madhatters. In May 2002, Tangled Up In Blue released their first CD entitled State Street, another collaborative effort with the Madhatters. "State Street" has received national recognition with two songs featured on 2002's Best of Collegiate A Cappella CD. This year, Tangled Up In Blue is excited to announce the recording of their first full length CD, Unraveled, which will be released in the Fall of 2004. Until then, it will be available for presale after all our shows!

Tangled Up In Blue appeared with the Band in 2004 for the 30th Annual Spring Concert and delighted the crowd with Fleetwood Mac's "Everywhere" and then kicked off our Abba Medley with an a cappella version of "Take a Chance on Me."
