Why should you join the UW Marching Band? First of all, joining the band gives you a circle of 300 friends, making a large university seem much smaller, helping you adjust to college life much more quickly. Before attending a class, you'll know you're an important part of the University community. Not "just another student" ... you will also be a member of one of the most popular groups on campus. There are many lifelong friends to be made by joining the band. Your experience with the Wisconsin Band will also make you a more well-rounded person. If you are interested in auditioning for the Wisconsin Drumline, please download the Marching Percussion Handbook, available here in Spring 2012. All prospective Wisconsin Drumline members will be required to attend at least one summer clinic in order to be eligible to audition in August 2012. The Handbook will have complete information on the clinics, expectations, and audition information if you're interested in auditioning next year (2012).
