- December 15, 2008: Here is the public
itinerary for the UW Band's trip to the Champps Sports Bowl. It has
where we'll be practicing and performing, in case anybody would like to
watch us. See you there!
- November 14, 2008: All band members who want to get tickets for Cal-Poly should
check the member's only section and fill out the form there. The deadline for this is NOON on Monday,
November 17th. Also, I have uploaded a lot more game pictures, although I didn't announce it here.
Sorry about that!
- October 2, 2008: Hi everyone! All band members
who got pictures taken for the website should go here and e-mail me with your name,
rank, instrument, year in school, hometwon, major and the filename of
your picture if you want to use that picture on the website.
Upperclass: if you do NOT want to use your picture, please e-mail me to
say so. Thanks!
- September 9, 2008: The new Transportation Release form is up in the
Member's Only section.
- August 18, 2008: I am pleased to announce our
drum major and assistant drum major for the 2008-2009 band season: Drum
Major Jonathan Alfuth (right) and Assistant Drum Major Alex Waskawic
(left).
- August 13, 2008: All of the information for
upperclassmen has been posted on the Welcome Week page, though most
people should have recieved it in the mail. If you have not gotten it,
please print out the returning member postcard and mail it in ASAP.

- August 5, 2008:
Freshmen would do very well to check out this page about Welcome Week 2008. It has
letters from Mike and our band staff, a copy of the response card (which should be sent in ASAP) and the schedule for Welcome Week
2008.
- August 4, 2008:
Any freshmen OR returning members who need to take advantage of the early move-in
date for the dorms should call Gail Johnson at (608) 263-1896. The early move-in date will be
Sunday, August 24 from noon to 4:00 ONLY. Stay tuned for a full reg-week schedule, soon.

construction. Looks like the turf has arrived!
- July 16, 2008:
Today is the LAST DAY for prospective drumline members to sign
up for the summer drum clinic.
Also, we have new pictures of the practice field.

For all those curious about it, there are finally updated
pictures on the band field's construction. We are "on
schedule".

- November 15: On November 14, Mike Leckrone received the
Lifetime Achievement Award in Music from the Wisconsin Foundation for School
Music at a recepetion, dinner and presenation at the Monona Terrace
Convention Center. See

- October 1: Ladies and Gentleman, after over a year of work,
the new version of the website is finally live! The Band would like to give a
very special thanks to Brad Acker of the Saxophone Section for his countless
hours of effort in designing and programming the new site. Also thanks go out to
Charles Koch of the Trumpet Section for his work with the banner images, Dan Backes of
the Trombone Section for his work in designing the new system hardware and finally
to Brian Hettiger for his ever important advice on the project. We hope you all
like the new look. Be ready for a slew of updates as our new system allows us
to get content (especially pictures) online faster and more efficiently than every before!
